Although Lange moved away from “American Horror Story,” she continued to work with Murphy. Lange played the role of legendary Hollywood actress Joan Crawford in Murphy’s limited series “Feud: Joan and Bette”. The show chronicled the offscreen antics of longtime rivals Crawford and Bette Davis (played by Susan Sarandon) while filming “What Ever Happened to Baby Jane?” Lange also appeared in Season 1 of Murphy’s Netflix series “The Politician”.

In 2019, IndieWire reported that Murphy and Lange were developing a project on Marlene Dietrich set in the 1960s in Las Vegas, but there have been no recent updates. Fans of “AHS: Freak Show” know that Elsa Mars de Lange was obsessed with the screen legend. In August, Deadline announced that Lange was attached to director Francis Coppola’s “Megalopolis”. This movie is still in the early stages of development and Lange is not confirmed to star in the big budget epic. If Jessica Lange signs, Coppola hopes to start filming in the fall of 2022.

After Lange’s “American Horror Story” Season 8 triumphant return, fans were hoping to see the 72-year-old actress in future episodes, but that seems unlikely. “I did it because it was to recreate Constance, which was – for me, that was a very important moment when I did this first season, ‘Murder House’. But I don’t think I was. would like to start from scratch and create a character, ”Lange told The Wrap in 2019.

Looks like she has an eye on different cinematic adventures.
