Vikrant Rona Box Office Collection: Kichcha Sudeep and Jacqueline Fernandez star Vikrant Rona was released on Thursday (July 28). Directed by Anup Bhandari, the film is being made on a huge budget and has had a lot of promotions. Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has been seen pushing the film into the Hindi belt.
The fantasy action adventure thriller follows the story of police officer Vikrant Rona as he is assigned to investigate a mysterious and unusual murder case in a forest village. The film opened to mixed reviews, but it garnered huge revenues on its first day of release. While on its fourth day the film earned the highest box office gross, the film is now said to have surpassed the Rs 100 crore benchmark worldwide.
Kiccha Sudeep star Vikrant Rona is forecast to have earned a total of ₹29 crore on his fourth day of release on Sunday. Which brought the film beyond ₹110 crore. Meanwhile, Ranbir Kapoor’s film Shamshera managed to earn ₹40 crore on the whole week.
Vikrant Rona reportedly collected Rs 40 crore at the box office on day 1. In the Hindi belt, he managed to collect Rs 1 crore nett. Many 3D shows were packed at night in the southern states. According to a tweet from AndhraBoxoffice, it made Rs 2 crore in the region.
Some trade pundits reported that Vikrant Rona recorded Rs 7-9 crore in advance bookings with the majority of revenue coming from the Kannada language. Vikrant Rona was reportedly published in 14 languages around the world. It provides a dark 3D experience to the audience. The film currently has a 9.3 rating on IMDb.
Vikrant Rona stars Kichcha Sudeep in the lead, along with Jacqueline Fernandez, Nirup Bhandari and Neetha Ashok. The pan-global 3D film was released in multiple languages – Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi. The film is directed by Anup Bhandari and produced by Jack Manjunath under his Shalini Arts Production, and co-produced by Alankar Pandian of Invenio Origins. Vikrant Rona is now in theaters from July 28th.
