After the pandemic forced many iconic Austin events to be canceled or adapted to virtual settings, many are starting to return to normal, both restoring options in person and expanding current offerings.

Round rock

Alfred’s Catering opens kitchen in Round Rock

The Austin-based, Alfred Engstrand-owned catering company has served the area for over 30 years and offers event planning services in addition to catering.

Lamppost Coffee will reopen in downtown Round Rock during the week of September 27

Located at 201 E. Main St., Ste. 101, the cafe has been temporarily closed by the Williamson County and Cities Environmental Health Division since August 20.

Pflugerville Fire Chief Ron Moellenberg to retire this month after 45 years of service

After spending 45 years in Travis County Emergency Services District 2, also known as the Pflugerville Fire Department, Fire Chief Ron Moellenberg is retiring.

San Marcos

Tipsy Cow Ice Cream Closure in San Marcos and Other Local Business News

The San Marcos location opened in October 2019 and served ice cream and milkshakes, some with alcohol, hence the name. The New Braunfels location at 2154 Gabriels Place, Ste. 104, will remain open.
