Prem Geet 3 Box Office Collection Day 1: Gets off to a huge start, globally

The Indian-Nepalese movie “Prem Geet 3” had made a lot of noise among moviegoers through its posters, teaser, trailer and songs, and now it has finally graced the cinemas.

It stars Pradeep Khadka and Kristina Gurung in the lead roles and also has Shiva Shrestha, Sunil Thapa, Santosh Sen, Maotse Gurung, Manish Raut,
Puskar Karki, Prem Puri among others.

Indian filmmaker Subhash Kale produced the film with Santosh Sen, Prashant Kumar Gupta, Yogesh Lakhani, Sushma Shiromani and Murlidhar Tilwani under the Sparking Studio (India) and Asusen Films Production (Nepal) banner.

Box Office Collection Day 1

Prem Geet 3 saw excellent advance bookings ahead of release, domestically 70-80% of tickets were sold for day 1 and it took a start of Rs 2 crores from there.

In India too, it is witnessing a good number of footsteps due to National Film Day celebrations, reports say 75% of tickets were sold for Day 1. Trade estimates suggest it has seen an opening of 1 to 1.5 crores at the Indian box office.

The overseas market adds another 2 crores to its cash registers for a total of Rs 5.5 crores on day 1 at the global box office. It’s a huge debut for a movie that’s made on 11 crores.

First Get 3 Screen Counts and Budget

It occupied about 200 screens in Nepal, 500 screens in India and about 500 screens in the international market for 1200 screens in the world. It is produced with a budget of 11 crores including 6 Cr of production cost and 5 Cr of printing and advertising.

Speaking of the Intl. market, it is releasing in UAE, UK, Canada, USA, Singapore, Malaysia, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, Japan, South Korea South and in many other countries in Europe.

It is the third installment in the hit Prem Geet franchise, the film distribution right has been sold for Rs 4 crores in India, according to reports. It is expected to break even this weekend, emerging here from a clean slate. It had been in the works for a long time and had rescheduled its release dates twice due to the Covid pandemic.
