There have been rumors that Om Raut’s pan-Indian directorial film Adipurush may be postponed to avoid a box office clash with other Southern blockbusters – one of them is Varisu by Thalapathy Vijay. Adipurush stars Prabhas who would be seen as Ram, Saif Ali Khan as Ravan and Kriti Sanon as Sita. However, since the release of the teaser, the creators faced a lot of backlash from the audience as they couldn’t stand the poor VFX work. Adipurush has been brutally trolled since the day the teaser was released, and now their movie has even been pushed back to another tentative date.
According to a report from BollywoodLife, the makers of Adipurush are planning to postpone the release date of the film. Prabhas star was reportedly released on January 12, 2023, which is also the Sankranti festival weekend. However, on the same date, Varisu by Thalapathy Vijay is also going to be released, so to avoid box office shock, they are planning to release solo.
Even though there has been no confirmation about it or any official announcement, reports suggest that the creators of Adipurush are planning to have a mid-summer release date. Well, from now on, it looks like Thalapathy Vijay is going to rule the box office and the hearts of her fans.
While Vijay fans are celebrating their idol Varisu’s upcoming movie, Prabhas fans are quite disappointed to know that Adipurush has been postponed. However, a group of people took to his Twitter account and posted their opinions. One wrote: “It will fail no matter when it comes out. Just my opinion.” Another tweeted: “Why did they have to postpone it? Is it due to vfx??” Another wrote: “Ramsetu ke baad darr ka mahol hai ab”.
