Jordan Peele Recommends These 9 Must-Watch Horror Classics

Of course, Master General “No” has taste!

Most of us have been fans of Jordan Peele since his mad tv days. So of course when Key and Peele dropped we were there too. However, avid horror fans couldn’t help but notice the nods to some of our beloved horror movies. Long story short, Peele went on to found Monkeypaw Productions and give us get out and We. Due to Peele’s resume of excellence in the genre, most of us are counting the hours until his new film, Nopedrops.

With the beloved horror maestro about to give us his third feature, I thought now would be a good time to dig in to see what his favorite films are. I mean, who doesn’t want to know what the guy who does some of his favorite horror stuff is looking at? While the internet had very conflicting listings and videos, Far Out Magazine does all the calculations I can’t to reduce it to these nine films.

Check Out Jordan Peele’s Favorite Horror Movies

  • Dead Again (1991)
  • The Shining (1980)
  • The Babadook (2014)
  • It Follows (2014)
  • A Tale of Two Sisters (2003)
  • The Birds (1963)
  • Fun Games (1997)
  • Martyrs (2008)
  • Let the Good In (2008)

I was shocked, shaken and soothed by this list. Because we’ve certainly seen some of those influences in his first two horror features, I’m excited to see if any of them are a part of that. Nope. Let me know if you share any common favorites with Peele at @misssharai.
