The film directed by Nitesh Tiwari Chhichhore featuring the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput which hit screens in China in 2019 just a week ago. After opening on a decent note, the film’s business appears to have been impacted by the ongoing pandemic.
However, despite the low volume of collections Chhichhore succeeded in attracting 2.07 million USD [Rs. 15.31 cr.] in its first week at the Chinese box office. The affair of Chhichhore didn’t really mirror the success of previous Bollywood releases, viz. Baahubali – The Conclusion Secret Superstar Dangal Hindi Medium and others enjoyed it.
While previous versions like Kaabil, 102 not out, sultan, and Mum performed better than Chhichhore, Sushant Singh Rajput’s film is expected to continue hitting theaters in China. In fact, forecasts indicate that the business of Chhichhore will be capped in collections in its second weekend at the Chinese box office.
