The news of Stan being thrown in Love at first sight has many fans wondering about the potential plot of New world order, given that Bucky Barnes and Sam Wilson’s characters have been friends for a while now, often working as partners. The reinstatement of Steve Rogers would be a nice surprise, however, as he has always been an important figure in Wilson’s life. Based on how The Falcon and the Winter Soldier concluded, it’s likely that Evans, a strong supporter of Mackie as Captain America, would be less active if he returned.
It would be interesting to bring back the character of Evans in the MCU and to know if the actor embodies an old or a young Steve Rogers. Given that the new movie is set in The Multiverse Saga, variations are a possibility, but it could also benefit Sam Wilson’s story if Rogers sees him as Captain America and serves as more of a mentor. Whether or not he returns, it looks like the door is still open and fans can’t wait to find out when. Captain America: New World Order hits theaters in 2024.
