Pixar has brought heartwarming stories – from Toy story To coco, Disney Pixar films continue to touch us. Audiences have eagerly followed each journey of their favorite Pixar characters. Lightning McQueen has discovered that it’s not all about winning; Jessie finally trusted a new owner; Carl rediscovered himself and went to Paradise Falls; Miguel replenished his family with music.
The list of Pixar movies goes on and on. But what is considered the best in the world? According to a Play Like Mum poll, the answer lies in ratings, box office numbers and internet searches.
Pixar movies ranked around the world
The survey results are based on the ‘World’s Most Loved Film Score’, on a scale of 1 to 10. Some of the lowest rated include Soul, The Incredibles, WALL-E, and Ratatouille. But that doesn’t translate to a low critical score. In reality, Soul obtained a critical score of 95% and an audience score of 88%.
Toy story 2 is also ranked at the bottom of the Pixar favorites scale around the world. However, critics gave it a 100% rating. His predecessor (Toy story) also received a 100% review score but ranked below its sequels, Toy story 3 and 4.
According to the results, the world’s favorite Disney Pixar movies of all time are Up, coco, and Toy Story 3, respectively.
Up isn’t Pixar’s highest-grossing film. Nonetheless, the annual search volume contributes to its âmost liked scoreâ. People all over the world are looking for Up more than any other Pixar movie. The Up movie characters Carl Frederickson, Russell and Dug have become popular at Disney theme parks around the world.
The storyline also introduced a more melancholy premise compared to other Disney Pixar movies. Even the late Ed Asner, the voice of Mr. Frederickson, said the film was more âgrown-upâ than other Pixar films.
coco added cultural diversity to the Pixar library. Using the day of the dead, coco brought viewers a family-focused storyline.

America’s Favorite Pixar Movie
According to annual search volumes and audience scores, America’s favorite Pixar movie isn’t Up. Even if Up was ranked as the world favorite, each country has its own.
Out of 158 countries surveyed, coco touched the hearts of 118. Each country’s search volume differs, and the survey mixed its ratings with box office records, audience scores, and critics’ scores. So which Pixar movie is Americans’ favorite?
coco reportedly has an annual search volume of 627,000 in the United States. Countless American viewers consider it a new classic. And it seems other countries agree. Most countries, including Canada, Mexico, Greenland, Australia, and Russia, favor Miguel’s heartfelt story. Coco balances the land of the living and the dead, giving audiences an authentic fantasy. Not only that, but it also offers a new perspective on a distinctively dark side: death.
Many Disney fans assume favorites are based on audience scores. coco and Toy story 4 would be tied with an audience rating of 94% and a critical score of 97% if that were the case.
